Art Basel Mural @ The Stage Miami

When I originally found out that I was accepted at Miami Ad School, and had wrapped my mind around the fact that I was moving to Miami, one of the first thoughts that entered my head was “I hope I get to paint for Art Basel”

I just didn’t know exactly how I would swing it. Turns out it is pretty easy to find a wall to paint during Art Basel… But I didn’t know that. So when I got an email from a Miami Ad School alum looking for creative contributions to The Stage Miami’s Art Basel programming, I jumped right on it! I called him up, sent photos of some of my work and that was that!

I was honored to be a part of some pretty awesome stuff going down at The Stage during Art Basel. They had all kinds of things happening for Basel-ers to enjoy, including a Brazilian Film festival, Concerts from Tilly and the Wall and Rakim, and much more! I would come paint for a few hours each evening while people started to fill up the streets for those Basel nights. I honored to be painting next to some legendary writers including Abstrk MSG, Hest MSG, Abuse MSG, Threat and Dub… I think the wall was really well received! Passerbys would come up to chat and take photos on their way into the venue or while waiting for some awesome tacos from the food truck that was parked nearby. All in all it was an awesome experience. The staff at the stage was incredibly nice and hooked us up with food and drink. I was able to timelapse the piece from start to finish over the course of the 3 days. Check that out below as well as a gallery with everyone else’s pieces!
